I've been busy in the studio stocking up for the many shows I have coming up. Next up is the Indie Craft Experience holiday show. There will be lots of great artists from all over the country, so come get your holiday shopping on! In case you can't make it, I've also dropped off new pieces at the Beehive, Sole Shoes and Dakota J's, and my online shop is open. See you soon!

Chicago Renegade 2010
It's been established that I'm bad at blogging, so about 3 weeks after the fact, here are some pics from Chicago Renegade this year. It was the first time I participated and it was so much fun! I hadn't been to Chicago in years, met new people and ran into an old friend!
After about 12 hours on the road, we finally made it to Chicago!

Below are the whacky peeps walking, marching and biking around the festival.

Thank you Renegade for the amazing show, and thanks to all the Chicago peeps that stopped by the booth! I hope to do it again next year!

I shared a booth with Jessica Swift. Here are the snap shots of our booth. Notice the new boards I had made hanging from the tent. I love them!

November Shows
This month, I did 2 shows; Cabbagetown Chomp & Stomp and Junktique. As I've said before, Cabbagetown is my favorite festival. The vibe is always great and we always have a bunch of friends come out for it. Like last year, we had a cooler in my booth stocked with beer and snacks. It was a beautiful day, and my booth was right in front of the amphitheater where bands were playing. It couldn't get more perfect.
Junktique was a show that I decided to do last minute. It was a fundraiser for a local elementary school which had live music, food and drinks, an artist market and a yard sale. The name threw off a lot of customers, as they thought it was only yard sale people. So that wasn't great for us artists, but I was in a room with crafty friends, so I was in good company.
Here is Kristina of Gangbusters. She makes really cool pendants and cuff links using vintage comics and resin. People just loved her stuff.
This is Kaz of Kazstyle, and she makes pouches and other goods using recycled kimonos and obis. So cool.
And here are some pics of soaps, candles and lotions from Love your Mama. Emilie's booth was next to me at the Inman Park Festival, which was awesome because her booth smells so good. I don't use bar soaps, but we did a trade and I chose the peppermint rosemary soy candle. I actually need to get some more.
So I have 2 more shows coming up, then I'll be done for the year. Can you believe the year is almost over?

Indie Craft Experience!
This Saturday is the Holiday ICE show! I am not participating as a vendor this year because of another engagement, but I will be going to see all the great vendors, some of who are now friends. If you're in the Atlanta area, you must check it out and get some handmade holiday gifts!

Dodged a bullet
Thunderstorms were predicted for Saturday, which I was so dreading because of the festival. On top of that, my booth was on the field instead of the paved path, so it could've been really muddy. Luckily, there was no storm, not even any rain. And Sunday turned out to be a beautiful, sunny day with a ton of people enjoying the music, food, beer and vendors. Now today, it's raining cats and dogs. The worst part about festivals is the loading and unloading of everything, but the best part is the interaction with the customers and meeting other vendors. So one woman came in to my booth and was really quiet while looking at all the pieces. Then after making her way back to the beginning again, she just looked happy and told me she loved everything in my booth! Afterwards, another woman came in and said that my jewelry was magical. How awesome is that?
Ok, so that was a very brief recap. Please come back tomorrow, because I am featuring an awesome artist who sells on Etsy, and there will be a giveaway! Who doesn't love free stuff?

Going to Athens
Georgia, not Greece. The Athens Indie Craftstravaganzaa is going on this Saturday, so my friend and I decided to take a road trip to check it out. I've never been to Athens and am looking for a good place to grab lunch and also good boutiques. So if you have suggestions, please let me know. Thanks!

This weekend...
Shows, shows, shows! That's what I'm all about this week. So what's coming up you ask? Well, let me tell you!

This Saturday is the Holiday ICE show, which has 100 indie artists from all over. I went last year as a shopper and had a ton of fun, so I am really excited to be participating as a vendor this year. My booth will be next to Wren, the talent behind Love Yu, and a little further down is my friend Alex, creator of Lil Sprout Knits. Come and shop and buy handmade! Plus, he first 300 customers get a fabulous swag bag full of goodies from each vendor.
The Paideia School is having their annual Art Visions sale to raise money for their arts programs. They will be selling wares from a host of artists including fine art, holiday gifts, stationery, jewelry, and much, much more. So be sure to swing by!
